Dick Cheney, you are officially off the hook!

About seven years ago, the former Vice President accidentally shot one of his friends while hunting for quail on a ranch in Texas. And, we all called him a jackass for doing it. But, now, he's not alone in the "holy-shit-I-can't-believe-I-just-shot-my-friend-while-hunting!" category anymore. You can now add Hall of Fame baseball player Robin Yount to that list, too.

Yesterday, at the MLB winter meetings, Cubs manager Dale Sveum talked about how he and Yount went hunting for quail in Arizona during the offseason. And, during their trip, Yount accidentally shot Sveum in the back of the ear while he was bagging one of the birds.

"The bird was in front of him and I was about 50 yards up on a hill," Sveum said. "He got the bird up and lost track of where I was. He pulled the trigger and was like, 'Uh, oh.'…I got drilled with pellets in the back and then one stuck in the ear."

Um, ouch? Fortunately, Sveum was fine. But, damn. It's hard enough being the Cubs manager these days! Now, he's gotta worry about friendly fire, too?!
