Apparently, Manti Te'o spent a lot of time talking to Lennay Kekua—or, at least, the person he thought to be Lennay Kekua—between May and September of last year. According to phone records that ESPN's Jeremy Schaap obtained through a source close to Te'o, the Notre Dame linebacker talked to Kekua more than 1000 times during that time period. The records also show that those talks included 110 calls that lasted for more than an hour.

So, the plot has thickened. Again. Either Te'o went to really great lengths to be a part of this hoax...or he really was an innocent victim here. But, to be honest, we have no idea what to believe anymore.
