Notre Dame's athletic director, Jack Swarbrick, pretty much made Manti Te'o look like the victim when Deadspin revealed his girlfriend didn't exist. ND knew since Dec. 26, but that's not the only shocker. The school promoted a fundraising event aimed to honor "Lennay Kekua," Te'o's imaginary boo, weeks after learning about the fib. A graduate named Don Tudesco set up a fundraising account to raise $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Notre Dame sent a videographer for an interview, which was posted on the school's athletic program's YouTube account.

It's a move that even surprised Tudesco himself, who was quoted as saying, “It would surprise me that Notre Dame would want to promote this if they knew something like this was going on.”

Agreed. It's becoming clear someone is bullshitting needs to step up an clarify these odd circumstances.
