Nearly Named: Squirrel

When you look at Jack Dorsey's mobile payment device, the name Square seems perfect. Mostly because the dongle that plugs into a smartphone's headphone jack and allows anyone to take credit card payments is in the shape of a square. Before all that happened, however, Dorsey and Robert Andersen planned to call their company Squirrel, and the little card readers were to be called acorns. We don't get it, either.
